Description
"In the summer of 2006, the five Shakespeare Festivals in Europe – Bath (GB), Craiowa (RU), Gdansk (PL), Gyula (HU) and Neuss - founded the European Shakespeare Festival Network, with the aim of achieving, in the future, a closer, more intensive co-operation. The first fruits of this new venture was an invitation to the Castle Theatre of Gyula in Hungary to come to Neuss. The co-operation between the New Theatre, Budapest and the Castle Theatre, Gyula has produced a remarkable Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Szergei Masziobojscsikov and involving many of Hungary's leading actors, a production which has reaped them thunderous applause and praise throughout Hungary and beyond."
