A tudor farmhouse

This building shows the extent of the brick between the timbering since it has not been covered with plaster. It is a farmhouse of the kind that the country housewife dreamed of occupying.

Another example of half-timbering is Shakespeare's birthplace, Stratford-upon-Avon.
