The Shakespeare Herald
A growing team of scholars
As the Internet Shakespeare Editions continue to expand, extending the range of plays being edited for the site, our team of scholars continues to grow. We are privileged to number senior Shakespeareans from around the world in our ranks. And we are steadily increasing the number we can call upon to enhance the level of scholarship we provide our readers.
Our Editorial Board oversees all our academic standards, provides support for our editors, and arranges for peer review of their work. We have recently made several appointments to the Board:
- James Mardock (University of Nevada, Reno) has joined Eric Rasmussen as General Textual Editor.
- Janelle Jenstad (University of Victoria) is now our Associate Coordinating Editor.
- M.J. Kidnie (University of Western Ontario) and Sonia Massai (Kings College, London) will contribute their expertise as members of the Editorial Board.
It is a measure of the demands made by the digital medium in creating the extensive library of supporting materials we provide on the site that three of our current editors have invited colleagues to join them as collaborators in their editions. In each case, senior editors are taking on the role of mentorship, in the process encouraging a new generation of textual editors.
- Amy Lidster (Kings College, London) will be working with Sonia Massai in her edition of Edward III.
- Gavin Paul (University of British Columbia) will assist Anthony Dawson in editing Macbeth.
- Cliff Werier (Mount Royal University), is collaborating with Gretchen Minton on Much Ado About Nothing.
We welcome all these additions to our team!
