Lily Brayton

Elizabeth "Lily" Brayton (1876–1953) was an English actress, known for her performances in Shakespearean plays as well as her 2,000 appearances in the First World War hit musical Chu Chin Chow, written by her husband, Oscar Asche. She was a member of various acting companies, including Frank Benson's, and in 1904 she and Asche formed their own theatrical company. Her last appearance on the stage was as Portia in Julius Caesar.
