Douglas Campbell
A theatrical legend, Douglas Campbell has played most of the principal roles in the Shakespearean canon. He began his acting career touring with Dame Sybil Thorndike and Sir Lewis Casson, and came to Canada with Sir Tyrone Guthrie in 1953 as a founding company member of The Stratford Festival. Most recently he played Jean-Paul Sartre with his wife, Moira Wylie, in the award winning Tete-A-Tete (Bristol Riverside). A member of the Order of Canada, Douglas was also recently awarded the Governor General's Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Performing Arts.
