ISE Advisory Boards
The Editorial Board
Members of the Editorial Board advise the General Textual Editors on all matters pertaining to the texts of Shakespeareʼs works as they are published on the website, in print, or in any other media. Members of the Editorial Board are appointed for a renewable period of five years. When possible, they attend the annual meeting of the ISE at conference of the Shakespeare Association of America.
In particular, they
- Seek to ensure that ISE texts are of the highest scholarly standard.
- Review all proposals for editions in a timely fashion.
- Undertake to review at least one edition in its final form during their tenure on the Board.
- Provide names of potential reviewers for editions, or specific essays that form parts
of editions.
The Performance Advisory Board
Members of the Performance Advisory Board advise the General Performance Editor in general principles concerning the acquisition and quality of performance materials on the site. Members of the Performance Advisory Board are appointed for a renewable period of five years.
In particular, they
- Provide advice on the development of the ISE database of performance.
- Assist in the review of scholarly essays on performance across the site by undertaking to review not more than one such essay, and providing names of potential reviewers.
- Suggest names of potential regional editors.
- Assist in soliciting contributions to Scene.
