Some General Tips

• Don't make the Home Page link active on the home page!
• 
  
• Avoid "click here". . . Use a more descriptive phrase (More about Hamlet)
• 
  
• Put full contact information on every page
• 
  
• Don't assume that users will scroll to the bottom of the page unless it's clear there's something there. Only about 10% of users will scroll automatically.
• 
  
  • Put a table of contents at the top to jump to particular parts of the page (plays, for example)
• Make sure you get details from your ISP about who visits the site, how long they stay on the different pages, and where they are from.
• 
  
• Use "meta-tags" to assist search engines in finding and categorizing your page
• 
  
  • <META NAME="Keywords" content="Web design, theatre, theater, Shakespeare">
