Dwaine E. Smith

DWAINE E. SMITH, Festival Photographer, is in his sixth Festival season, having performed special assignments in 1956 and 1957 as well. With his wife Janet he operates the Classic Studio in Medford. He has studied under the personal guidance of Max Munn Autrey, Master of Photography, and has completed a course in Speedlight Photography at the Winona Lake School of Professional Photography. From his Ashland experience, he has authored articles on photographing the Festival for The Rangefinder and Professional Photographer magazines. Twelve of his photographs of the Festival have received merit awards from the Professional Photographers of America and his Kings of Clowns portrait of actor Philip Hanson was placed in their loan collection.
