John Bethencourt

John Bethencourt of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is the first member of the Festival company from South America. A graduate of Escola Nacional de Agronomia, he did radio writing and was drama correspondent for the Jornal de Letras. Primarily interested in playwriting, he is at present studying at Yale University where he is the recipient of a graduate scholarship for his prize-winning play. Os Coerentes.
