Internet Shakespeare Editions

Our Team

The Internet Shakespeare Editions is the result of the continuing effort of a diverse team of volunteer scholars, student assistants, and sponsoring organizations, working under the leadership of Coordinating Editor Janelle Jenstad. The textual editing of the works is overseen by General Textual Editors Eric Rasmussen and James Mardock, and Associate Textual Editors Don Bailey, Jennifer Forsythe, and Jan Sewell. The collection of performance materials is directed by Performance Editor Elizabeth Pentland; the new edition of Shakespeare's Life and Times is overseen by Kate McPherson and Kate Moncrief; our new Education Editor is Jessica Slights; and Scene is edited by Kevin Quarmby. Our Founding Editor, Michael Best, served as Coordinating Editor until 2017 and continues to advise the project.
