Description

The production was first staged in the proscenium setting of the Queen's Theatre in summer 1964 and was recorded for television at the Chichester Festival Theatre in April 1965. The National Youth Theatre was a company of young people from fifteen to twenty-one who performed plays for the fun of it more than from any desire to be professionals. The main goal was to get young people to enjoy the theatre
