Description
A silent movie probably produced under the auspices of the British entrepreneur and film pioneer, William George Barker. The first two scenes were taken from King Henry the Sixth, Part Three, a common stage tradition since Colley Cibber's eighteenth-century production. Olivier's famous King Richard III uses the same tactic (see 503). Cast credits given below are from the performance of the F.R. Benson company at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre on Apr. 21, 1911. Not all of these actors necessarily appeared in the screen version
