Description

A prefiguration from the silent era of Men Are Not Gods and A Double Life. Essentially a back-stage plot in which real life actors playing Othello on stage find the Othello story mirrored in their own lives, with a potential for disastrous consequences. The film was made partly in London and partly in Venice and grew out of an earlier stage version presented at London's New Theatre
