Description
One of the Thanhouser films that were the most distinguished examples of the silent Shakespeare film in North America. Edwin and Gertrude Thanhouser were committed Shakespeareans whose goal was to transfer the text to the screen with as much integrity as possible. Except for their King Lear (see 246), unfortunately most of their films seem to have been lost (KSR)
