Description
Shows the hazards of going out on location with a film, presumably exacerbated when the film is Macbeth. Among theatre people Macbeth is often superstitiously regarded as a notoriously unlucky show. Theatre legend is full of horror stories about assorted disasters accompanying its production. Most recently the Glenda Jackson/Christopher Plummer 1988 Macbeth, though a commercial success on the Broadway stage, endured more than its share of misfortunes, according to press accounts. An absorbing murder/mystery by Marvin Kaye, Bullets for Macbeth (New York: Dutton, 1976) capitalizes on this tradition of hard luck
