Description
One of seven educational films cooperatively made by Station WQED Pittsburgh, Carnegie-Mellon University and The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Stratford-upon-Avon (see also numbers 138, 330-1, 564-5, and 715). A companion film (138 below) to this one, "The Time Is Out of Joint," offers a commentary on the play. Dr. Louis B. Wright, then director of the Folger Shakespeare Library, Washington, D.C., acted as consultant and script writer. Dr. Levi Fox, Director of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Stratford-upon-Avon, England, also served as a special consultant. Jeffery Dench of the Royal Shakespeare Company is narrator, though curiously the films give no credits for the other actors
