Description

This 1969 Hamlet originally was a stage production that received wide acclaim both in London and New York as well as on subsequent road shows in lesser cities. The film version, actually made for television, was produced at London's Roundhouse Theatre, a recycled railway locomotive shop. The damp walls, flickering candles, and dark ambience curiously capture the essence of Elsinore
