George Vafiadis
GEORGE VAFIADIS, in his third Ashland season, has created several prominent roles here, including Orlancio in As You Like It, Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing, and the title roles in Pericles and Troilus and Cressida. He has worked with B. Iden Payne at the University of Texas, where he played Lonaville in Love's Labour's Lost, Fortinbras and the Player King- in Hamlet, and Babe Callahan in Ned McCobb^s Daughter. He has been seen in San Francisco as Jason in Medea. During the past winter he traveled and studied theatre in England, France, Italy, and Greece.

GEORGE VAFIADIS, West Columbia, Tex., has studied acting and directing under B. Iden Payne at the University of Texas. While there he was Fortinbras and the Player King in Hamlet, Longaville in Lovers Labours Lost, and took the title role in a special television adaptation of Othello. With the San Antonio Theatre Guild he appeared as Don Juan in Don Juan in Hell, and, while taking officer's training at Fort Gordon, Georgia, he took the role of Danforth in the Augusta Community Theatres presentation of The Crucible. Following his first Festival season he will travel in Europe, then return to New York for further work in Theatre.

GEORGE VAFIADIS, West Columbia, Tex., is in his second Ashland season, and will be remembered from 1957 as Orlando in As You Like It and in the title role of Pericles.
