Amanda Taylor
AMANDA TAYLOR, Festival Choreographer, returns for her third year as a member of the Festival staff. Her B.F.A. degree was completed at the University of Texas in 1957, as a major in Dance and a minor in Drama. Her advanced studies have been with Hanya Holm and Shirlee Dodge, and, as the recipient of a grant from the West German government, she traveled to Europe to study dance with Mary Wigman in Berlin. Mrs. Taylor has taught at Lon Morris Junior College in Jacksonville, Texas, and has been a member of the Drama staff at the University of Texas. She has choreographed many productions, including her husbands staging of Electra in 1961. With the Southwestern University faculty, where she will be instructing in dance this fall, she recently performed in a production of Charleys Aunt.
