William W. Patton

WILLIAM W. PATTON is completing his tenth season as General Manager for the Oregon Shakespearean Festival. His full-time, year-around schedule includes supervision of the Festivals business affairs:\winter planning and tightly scheduled summers working with the resident staff. Mr. Patton's close association with the Festival began while he was an undergraduate at Stanford University, when he came to Ashland as a lighting assistant. Later, while working for the Columbia Broadcasting System in Hollywood on major network shows, he continued his Festival work as Lighting Director during the summer months. Prior to accepting the post of General Manager for the Festival, Mr. Pattons work included public relations assignments for the Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco and extensive business and theatre management duties in community theatre. He is currently president of the Ashland Chamber of Commerce and has served as chairman of the Mt. Ashland Developers. In addition to his association with the Festival, Mr. Patton worked closely with the Vining Repertory Theatre season in Ashland.in
