Larry Oliver

LARRY OLIVER, Ashland, Oregon, joins the Festival for his third season; his second as j a Festival Director. He holds an M.F.A. in K Directing from Southern Methodist University where he directed Crime on Goat Island, The Maids and a new musical, Sacco-Vanzetti. He also directed a production of The Party for National Educational Television. Mr. Oliver is a former resident staff member of the Casa Manana Theatre in Fort Worth. At the William Scott Theatre, also in Fort Worth, he directed The Public Eye. For the Festival he has directed the 1970 productions of Anouilh's Antigone and Julius Caesar. This past Fall, he wrote a teacher resource guide for and directed a special Festival production of The Glass Menagerie, now playing in the summer season. For the 1971 STAGE II season he directed Under Milk Wood. Just prior to the start of this Winter's STAGE II rehearsals, he worked as Production Assistant in charge of casting extras for Universal Studios' location filming of The Great Northfield, Minnesota Raid in nearby Jacksonville, Oregon.
