Robert Kern McFarland
ROBERT KERN McFARLAND is with the Festival for his first season as Stage Designer. He received his B.A. degree in Speech and Drama at Stanford University, where he is presently completing his masters degree. Mr. McFarland has numerous productions to his credit, from New York to Seattle to Palo Alto, California. He has worked at Yale in their M.F.A. program, was Manager of the outdoor pageant for the Texas Panhandle Heritage Foundation, and was a member of the Asia Society tour in Japan. He was Manager of the Performing Arts Division at the Seattle World's Fair, and was later Supervisor of the Performing Arts Division at the New York World's Fair. In New York City Mr. McFarland was Production Assistant to Will Steven Armstrong, and was Production Assistant at the Living Arts Theatre in Philadelphia, and the Repertory Theatres in Princeton, N.J. and Hartford, Conn. With the Stanford Repertory Theatre, Mr. McFarland designed costumes for the production of The Skin of Our Teeth and sets for All's Well That Ends Well.
