Amanda McBroom
AMANDA McBROOM, Mercedes, Texas (Tudor Guild Scholarship), is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Drama. At Lon Morris College, Jacksonville, Texas, she played Desdemona in Othello, Lizzie Currie in 110 in the Shade, and Cordelia in King Lear. In the 1967 Dallas Summer Musicals she performed as Morg-an Fey in Camelot. She has also appeared as a folk singer in Houston and Los Angeles. This is her first season with the Fe; ; id.

AMANDA McBROOM, Mercedes, Texas (Festival Scholarship) returns to the Festival for her second season. Her 1968 roles included Anne Boleyn in Henry VIII and Hilaret in Lock Up Your Daughters. This past year, she played the roles of Luisa in The Fantasticks at the Zachary Scott Theatre in Austin, Texas; Tessie Tura in Gypsy at the Univcrsitv Of Texas, and Desdemona in Othello at Lon Morris Junior College. She received her B.A. in Drama from the University of Texas.
