Theodore Marcuse

THEODORE MARCUSE, San Francisco, Calif., is an actor and director of extensive experience. He left the command of the U.S. Navy Submarine Tirante to make his Broadway debut with Katherine Cornell in Antony and Cleopatra. He appeared again with Miss Cornell in The Constant Wife, after a season with Judith Anderson in Medea and Maurice Evans in Richard II. His directing accomplishments have included the New York premiere of Robinson Jeffers The Cretan Woman and Hollywood productions of The Matchmaker and Thieves Carnival, He has been for the past three years in Hollywood appearing in over 100 films and television shows, including recent roles in Wagon Train, Have Gun Will Travel, and the Playhouse 90 production of Child of Our Time. His B.A. and M.A. were awarded at Stanford, where he has twice been an Artist-in-Residence.
