Ellen Kay

ELLEN KAY, a first-year Festival member, is a candidate for a doctorate in English Literature at Stanford, where she achieved an M.A. in Creative Writing. Primarily a poet. Miss Kay is augmenting her future plan to write poetic drama by frequent stage appearances. At Stanford she was the Princess of France in Love's Labour's Lost. While studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London she played Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Rosalind in As You Like It. Her first volume of poetry will be published this fall by the Swallow Press. Next year she will study in England with an A.A.U.W. Fellowship.
