Clayton L. Karkosh

CLAYTON L. KARKOSH, Dallas, Texas, is in his second Festival season as Stage Designer. He received his Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Iowa State University and his M.F.A. in Drama at Yale. As a staff member at the University of Texas he designed sets for B. Iden Payne's productions of Julius Caesar and Measure for Measure, in addition to creating sets for Saint Joan, Rashomon, Take Me Along, and The Bacchae. While teaching at the University of California at Riverside his set designs included The Cuckholds and Murder in the Cathedral. Mr. Karkosh is Assistant Professor in the Department of Drama at Southern Methodist University, where this past year he created sets for Waiting for Godoty, The Mikado, and the world premiere of The Assassin. He has also held technical positions with the Southbury Playhouse, Southbury, Connecticut 5 Williamstown, Massachusetts, Summer Theatre, and the Goodspeed Opera House, East Haddem, Connecticut. He designed the set for The Liberty Tree, Kermit Hunters new outdoor historical drama at Columbia, South Carolina.

CLAYTON L. KARKOSH, Dallas, Texas, returns for his third season as Festival Stage Designer. A graduate in Architecture at Iowa State 'University, he received his M.F.A. degree in Drama from Yale. As a staff member at the University of Texas, he designed sets for B. Iden Payne^s productions of Julius Caesar and Measure for Measzire, in addition to sets for Saint Joan, Eashonion, Take Me Along, and The Bacdwe. While teaching at the University of California at Riverside, his set designs included The Cuckolds and Murder in the Cathedral. Mr. Karkosh is Associate Professor of Theatre and head of the Design and Production Program at Southern Methodist University, where he has created sets for the world premiere of The Assassin; for The Mikado and Waiting for Godot. During this past year he designed the sets for Hotel Para-diso, Othello, The Threepenny Opera, and the lighting for The Seagull. He formerly held technical positions with the Southbury Playhouse in Connecticut; Williamstown Summer Theatre in Massachusetts; and the Goodspeed Opera House, East Haddem, Connecticut.
