ALLEN FLETCHER returns to the Festival after a year's absence during which he directed Hamlet at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. Allen received his B. A. and M. A. degrees at Stanford University and has done further study in Theatre History at Yale University, he is now Assistant Professor in the Drama Department, Carnegie Institute of Technology. Now in his seventh season as a Director at the Festival, Allen's productions have included King John, Othello, The Taming of the Shrew, Julius Caesar, Coriolanus and The Merry Wives of Windsor. Allen has appeared many times on the Festival stage, among his roles have been Roderigo in Othello, Burgundy in Henry V, Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing and the Duke of Gloucester in Henry VI, part 2.
