CHARLES EDELMAN, Staten Island, New York (Tudor Guild Scholarship), is an Eng-lish graduate of the University of Michig-an, holds an M.F.A. in Acting- from Stanford University, and he is 'it actor of the Stanford Repertory Theatre, where he played One-Eyed Larry in Cock-a-Doodle Dandy. A Fencing- Masi^i n ilie University of San Francisco, he is the FestivaPs Director of Swordplay. He has a total of 18 Shakespearean roles to his credit.

CHARLES EDELMAN, Staten Island, New York (Festival Scholarship) returns for his second Festival season as the Director of Swordplay. He is an English graduate of the University of Michigan, holds an M.F.A. in Acting from Stanford University and is a resident actor of the Stanford Repertory Theatre, where he played Phoenix in Andromache, Maupa in The Queen and the Rebels. He also performed in The Jew of Malta. In 1968 his Festival roles included Adam in As You Like It and Renaldo in Hamlet.
