Shakespeare in Performance: Person
Angela Christie
Angela is ecstatic to be back on the riverbank this summer with such a wonderful company after having performed last year as Celia (As You Like It) and Marianne (Measure For Measure). Since then she has been busy teaching acting at Persephone and performed in The Shape of Things at The Refinery with Theatre Ecstasis, a company she helped to create. Other credits include This is Our Youth (Theatre Ectsasis), Anne & George Damn (Persephone Theatre), Arcadia & Marisol (Greystone Theatre), and The Gift of The Magi (Dancing Sky Theatre). Angela is also the proud playwright and director of Andrea's Airplane Adventure, which was produced at Off Broadway's Children's Lunchtime Theatre this past fall.

Angela is thrilled to be making her debut with Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan as she has been anxious to work under the big tent since her older sister. Lisa Christie, performed with the company a few years ago. Angela has kept herself busy over the last couple of years working on stage for Persephone's George Dandin and the Scillian and Anne and for Dancing Sky Theatre's The Gift of the Magi. She started teaching acting at Persephone Theatre last year and just recently finished an equity co-op of This Is Our Youth at the Refinery in May. Enjoy the show.
