Dion Chesse
DION CHESSE, San Francisco, Calif., has appeared once before in Ashland in 1952 when he held the roles of Fluellen in Henry V, Octavius Caesar in Julius Caesar and Borachio in Much Ado About Nothing. His A.B. is from San Francisco State College where he played Christopher Sly in The Taming of the Shrew and Dogberry in Much Ado. He has also been seen in San Francisco as General St. Pe in the Playhouse Repertory production of Cry of the Peacock and as the He in He Who Gets Slapped with the Cellar Stage. In addition to his roles here this year, he is teaching Voice for the Drama in the Institute of Renaissance Studies. For the past six years he has performed in San Francisco on the KPIX television production Brother Buzz.

Dion Chesse of San Francisco, Calif., holder of a Festival scholarship, is known in the Peninsula region for his TV work. A graduate of San Francisco State College in art, he found time to do make-up and design work in addition to acting in Othello, The Man Who Married a Dumb Wife, and The Inspector General* In addition to his TV acting profession, he has worked with the San Francisco Municipal Theatre.
