Gerald Bates

GERALD BATES, Chelsea, Mich., graduated from Michigan State University in June with a B.A. in Radio-TV-Film and will continue there with graduate work in the same field this fall. His roles at MSU include Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Kinesias in Lysistrata, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, and the title role in the MSU Childrens Theatre production of Robin Hood. On the staff of WKAR-AM-FM-TV at Michigan State he has worked as director, actor, program host, and in costuming. In 1955 he toured Germany as an actor-technician with a 4th Infantry Division theatre group.
