Overview:

“Making Links: Texts, Contexts, and Performance in Digital Editions of Early Modern Drama” will profile pioneering SSHRC-funded work done at the University of Victoria, create pathways for further research, and foster collaboration and linking between cognate projects. This two-day conference will be held at the University of Victoria on April 7-8, 2015 just after the annual meeting of the Shakespeare Association of America (SAA) in Vancouver. Capitalizing on our geographical proximity to Vancouver, this follow-up conference convenes a subset of SAA attendees who have a stake in digital editions of early modern drama, in particular the Internet Shakespeare Editions (ISE), Digital Renaissance Editions (DRE), Queenʼs Men Editions (QME), and The Map of Early Modern London (MoEML). The principal goals of our conference are (1) to foster and mentor a new generation of editors and programmers, and (2) to establish the preconditions for creating scholarly and digital links between projects.
