Description
With Cedric Messina as producer, this production of The Tempest marked a step toward what might be called the "modern era" of BBC Shakespeare productions. Mr. Messina was subsequently to capitalize on the experience with these earlier Shakespeare plays when in 1976 he became the first producer of the BBC series, "The Shakespeare Plays."
