Description
In the early days of North American television, there were several programs devoted to Shakespearean drama but most, as in this instance, seem to have shrunk the plays down to under two hours. Still, these were courageous attempts to confront the dragon of commercialism. On the evening of this performance, the producer competed for audience ratings with such sure-fire entertainments as boxing, "Robert Montgomery Presents," and "Who Said That?" with Ilka Chase and Al Capp
