Description
One of a distinguished group of silent films produced by Edwin Thanhouser and his wife, who were genuine lovers of Shakespeare and sought to bring a higher standard to the production of Shakespeare on screen than previously had been the case. Unfortunately most of this film is lost but if the Thanhouser King Lear and the stills of this film that remain are any evidence, then it was probably at a fairly high level of competence
