Description
At considerable expense of time (two days of special rehearsals) and of money (£800), the Old Vic Othello by the Comédie Française was reworked for television. The program was introduced by Michel St. Denis. The BBC viewer research report laconically noted that the "language barrier proved a serious deterrent to enjoyment" (WAC TS/March 1950)
