Description
Another in the BBC series based on the 1951 Peter Alexander one-volume edition of Shakespeare's plays. The most striking visual feature of the production is the use of 18th-century costumes, a distinct departure from earlier habits, with rare exceptions (e.g, Julius Caesar), of only dressing the actors in the clothing of Shakespeare's own time, or at least close to Shakespeare's own time (!)
