ROSALYN NEWPORT, Wichita, Kans., has a B.F.A. in Drama from Carnegie Institute of Technology, and is appearing for her third Ashland season. She will be remembered for her performances on this stage as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Katherine in Love>s Labours Lost in 1956 and as Celia in As You Like It and Desdemona in Othello last year. During the past winter she played the roles of Minnie in The Matchmaker and Barbara Lawson in Career at theWichita Community Theatre and appeared as Hostess on the KTVH television show Late Date.

She also attended the University of Wichita where her roles included Desdemona in Othello and Mary McCleod in Detective Story, At Tech she appeared as Judith Anderson in The Devils Disciple, Elite Dunn in Heartbreak House, and Mrs. Miller in Ah! Wilderness. 1956 Festival audiences will remember her as Katharine in Love's Labour's Lost and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, She plans study at the Martha Graham School in New York.
