Editorial principles and publishing history: The Web version presented here follows the Folio as exactly as Internet browsers permit; word spacing is normalized, and modern forms are substituted for letters and ligatures that have no modern equivalent (for example, the long 's'); the underlying XML, file, however, contains information about all such early type forms. This transcription normalizes different forms of the letter r, but otherwise it retains the old spelling of the original, and does not seek to correct errors of the original text.

As You Like It was first printed in the Folio of 1623, in a text that is the basis of all modern editions.
