A marriage feast

The marriage feast of Sir Henry Unton. Reproduced in Social England, ed. H.D.Traill. University of Victoria Library.

At the bottom of the picture, musicians accompany a masque consisting of a procession of mythological figures. Note the childred dressed as nymphs and blacks (it is possible, but unlikely, that actual black children were used).
