The Internet Shakespeare Editions publishes in three main areas.

Shakespeare's works are being re-edited specifically for the medium by an international team of scholars. You will find the shape of things to come by visiting As You Like It, edited by David Bevington, or Julius Caesar, edited by John Cox.

Shakespeare's Life and Times is a resource of over 1,000 pages for those interested in the context in which Shakespeare was writing. Explore his life, the stage he wrote for, and the intellectual and literary life of the Renaissance. Multimedia files provide samples of music from the plays.

Performance. Shakespeare's plays are performed hundreds of times each year in countries around the world. Our Database of Shakespeare in Performance is a large and growing record of current and historical performances, providing a fascinating view of the way his plays are interpreted over time and in different cultures. A recent addition to the site is the ISE Performance Chronicle, an interactive journal where scholars, directors, and the general public can post reviews of current productions.
