Why have a Web site at all?

• Increasing audience (50% of households in Canada have Internet access)
• Dot.coms may have declined, but Web sales are increasing dramatically
• • People are getting used to buying tickets and other things online
• For many, the Internet is now the first resource, before the phone or mail
• For the younger audience it is now second nature
• • TV watching has declined for the group 6-16, with the Internet filling the gap
• It's an amazing way of putting your organization in the public eye
• It can be a great tool to reward your local supporters
• • Create links to local resources
  • Make sure that you have links to any businesses that support your theater
  • Create reciprocal links from sites that make links to yours
